Our candles are long-lasting! The first burn is VERY important. We recommend burning your pillar candle 1 hour for each inch of diameter for your first burn. For example, a 3″ candle should burn at least 3 hours the first time. This initial burn allows the candle to form a liquid wax pool completely across the top which helps ensure a more even, longer lasting candle.
Always use holders or plates that are heat resistant. Candle oil can damage wood, painted holders, and furniture.
Wicks N’ More pillar candles use 100% cotton, lead-free wicks that are clean and slow-burning. For best results and to make your candle last longer, keep the wick centered and trimmed to ¼”. Keep candles away from ceiling fans or drafts that can cause your wick to become uncentered.
It is best not to burn your candle more than 4 hours at a time. Should you need to burn longer, blow out your candle after 4 hours, trim the wick and relight.
